We will kill anybody who rigs 2027 election immediately; it’s rig and die: Omo-Agege

Mr Omo-Agege declared that he and his entourage would be waiting for election riggers to kill them.

Ovie Omo-Agege,
Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege,

Ovie Omo-Agege, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Delta Central Senatorial District, has vowed to kill anyone planning to rig the 2027 general elections.

Mr Omo-Agege made the remarks during his campaign flag-off in the Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, declaring that he and his entourage would be waiting for election riggers to kill them.

“I want to make news again: Anybody who rigs election that day, we will kill him. Rig and die. If you don’t value your life, come and rig the election.

“They are rigging your future; they are rigging the future of your children. We are waiting for them. Let them try. Rig and die. We are going to do it aura for aura. We are just looking at them,” the former deputy senate president said.

Mr Omo-Agege also criticised what he described as the tendency to condemn politicians who oppose election rigging, particularly through the phrase urging aggrieved parties to seek redress in court, stressing that electoral manipulation disenfranchises Nigerians.

He is up against incumbent All Progressives Congress candidate Ede Dafinone Omueya, Peoples Democratic Party’s AI Arhagba Ighogbedjere, and 10 others in the January 2027 senatorial election.
