The police command Katsina says all the 154 students affected by an adverse drug reaction at Government Science Secondary School, Batagarawa, have been treated and discharged from the hospital.
The command’s spokesman, Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, confirming that no life was lost.
The incident occurred on Monday after students reportedly developed symptoms of an adverse drug reaction following the administration of Praziquantel tablets.
The students were evacuated to hospital facilities for medical attention, where they received treatment.
According to the police, 25 students who were earlier kept in the hospital for further medical care, had also been treated and discharged.
