NDLEA announces free drug test for NIS, NCoS, NSCDC, fire service new intakes

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced that applicants undergoing recruitment into agencies under the Ministry of Interior will not be required to pay for the mandatory drug integrity test (DIT).
The ‌exercise covers applicants seeking enlistment into the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi said in a statement on Friday that to facilitate a seamless and orderly testing process, candidates are required to access the NDLEA drug integrity test portal through the designated link or access point provided on their respective institutional portals.
He added that the arrangement would enable candidates to access the NDLEA DIT platform, complete the necessary registration and documentation and proceed with the testing process without making additional payments.
“NDLEA wishes to inform all applicants for recruitment into the NCoS, NIS, FFS, and NSCDC, under the Ministry of Interior, that arrangements have been concluded for the conduct of the mandatory drug integrity test (DIT) as part of the recruitment process.
“The agency wishes to emphasise that no payment is required from any candidate or personnel presenting for the Drug Integrity Test.
“The ministry of interior has already made a bulk payment to cover the testing of its new intakes. Consequently, all participating agencies and their personnel are advised not to make any payment to NDLEA officials, testing centres or through any other payment channel in respect of this exercise,” he said.
Mr Babafemi said the agency appreciated the Ministry of Interior’s cooperation and remained committed to ensuring a smooth, transparent and efficient implementation of the exercise.
