The director-general of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Abdullahi Yari, says Nigerians will be convinced by President Bola Tinubu’s achievements to re-elect him in 2027.

According to a statement on Saturday by his media office, Mr Yari said this in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, where he joined Mr Tinubu and other eminent Nigerians to perform the Muslim lesser Hajj, Umrah.

Mr Yari, also a former governor of Zamfara, reaffirmed the APC-PCC’s commitment to secure the buy-in of the Nigerian electorate for the actualisation of Mr Tinubu’s second-term aspiration.

He noted that Mr Tinubu’s faith in God, his record of performance, and the APC-PCC’s capacity to win the hearts of the Nigerian electorate would swing votes for the president and ultimately secure his victory in 2027.

“In total, I depend on Allah to do it for him (Tinubu) as he did it for him in 2023. We will campaign and talk to people.

“We will campaign to convince them, to show them what we have done and have achieved, and by God’s grace, they will be convinced to re-elect us,” Mr Yari stated.

Mr Tinubu had also said in Saudi Arabia on Friday that he had enormous faith in God to be re-elected in the 2027 presidential election.

“Allah is the only one who can define a human being, what he will be and what he will become,” the president had said.
