Osimhen’s knee surgery successful, say Galatasaray

Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray on Saturday said the knee surgery conducted on their striker, Victor Osimhen, on Saturday, was successful.
The Turkish giants, in a post on X, said the condition of the Super Eagles striker, would be assessed daily as his treatment continues.
Galatasaray wrote, “Our player Victor Osimhen underwent successful surgery today at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital, performed by our club doctor, Yener İnce.
“Our player’s condition will be monitored through daily assessments, and his treatment will continue under the supervision of our club’s medical team. We wish our player Victor Osimhen a speedy recovery and hope he gets well as soon as possible.”
The club on Friday said Osimhen would on Saturday undergo an arthroscopic knee surgery at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital, after MRI examinations detected a loose body.
According to the club, Osimhen strained his left knee during their UEFA Champions League 2-0 victory in Istanbul, on Tuesday, against VfB Stuttgart of Germany.
Osimhen has already been withdrawn from the squad as they face Amed Sportif in their Super Lig home tie on Saturday.
