My govt success tied to Tinubu’s reforms, says Okpebholoshi
Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has urged residents of Orhionwon Local Government Area to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election billed for January 16, 2027.
Mr Okpebholo made the call at an APC campaign rally in Abudu, headquarters of Orhionwon local government area of the state on Sunday.
He said a vote for Mr Tinubu would also strengthen his administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
He urged residents to sustain their support for the party and its development agenda.
The governor said his administration’s success was closely tied to the policies and reforms of the Tinubu- led administration.
“A vote for Tinubu is a vote for Okpebholo. It is a vote for APC and a vote for the progress of this country.
“The removal of fuel subsidy is the redemption of this country because Nigeria’s resources were in the hands of a few individuals. The gains of that action are why we can pay salaries today, we are working and developing the country,” he said.
Mr Okpebholo urged the people to appreciate the Tinubu administration’s economic reforms, stating these reforms gave governments greater capacity to meet their obligations and execute development projects.
The governor also received cheers from residents of Orhionwon South, following his approval of an electrification project in the area, which the people said had been without electricity for more than 25 years.
The residents described the approval as a major milestone that would end decades of darkness, boost economic activities and improve the quality of life in their communities.
The rally also witnessed new members defecting to the APC, who were formally received by the party’s Deputy State Chairman, Sylvester Aigbobor.
