Cellular networks AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon experiencing downtime
Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T – all major US cellular services – are currently down, leaving tens of thousands of users worldwide without internet service.
Daily Mail first reported the outage around the time when social media apps WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook began experiencing downtime worldwide.
Down Detector, an online service that monitors outages, shows reports for each of the cellular networks crashing just minutes after all of Facebook’s apps crashed.
All outages have been observed in major U.S. cities such as New York City, Los Angeles, California and Dallas Texas, as well as the U.K. and some parts of Europe.
