Kidnappers invade Ahmadu Bello University, abduct lecturer

This comes a few days after nine students of the University were abducted by kidnappers.

Kidnappers on Monday invaded the staff quarters of Ahmadu Bello University, Samaru Campus, Zaria and abducted a lecturer.

The incident took place “at about 12:50am” on Monday, spokesman to the university, Auwalu Umar, disclosed in the statement.

Mr. Umar said the kidnappers abducted a lecturer, his wife and daughter. However, timely intervention of the police forced the kidnappers to leave the wife and daughter, while they ran away with the lecturer.

This comes a few days after nine students of the University were abducted by kidnappers.

The nine abducted undergraduate students of the university regained freedom six days after their parents paid ransom for their release.
