Nigerian Army releases schedule for EC/DSSC 2020 selection board interview

The Nigerian Army has scheduled dates for the conduct of its selection board interview for prospective recruits seeking enlistment into the Executive Commission (EC) and Direct Short Service Commission Course (DSSC) 2020.
An internal army memo seen by Peoples Gazette, dated November 18, fixed the EC selection exercise for November 23 – December 6, 2020 at the Nigerian Army School of Military Engineering, Makurdi (NASME).
DSSC selection board was scheduled for December 10 and 24, 2020, at Headquarters 2 Division, Nigerian Army, Ibadan.
The selection board is expected to draw up the final list of successful candidates for enlistment into the respective courses.
The Gazette reported that a total of 1,304 candidates were shortlisted for the selection interview into the Direct Short Service Commission course 25/2020.
About 1,137 males and 167 females were drawn from the 36 states of the federation, with each state getting a minimum of 35 slots.
The Federal Capital Territory, however, had its quota pegged at 25.
The Gazette also learnt that Imo had the highest number of shortlisted female candidates (14), followed by Enugu (13), while Bauchi, Katsina, Kano, Sokoto, Jigawa and Zamfara had none.
