Fans shower Davido with multimillion-naira donations after tweeting his bank details

Fans and friends of super-rich artist Davido have been crediting his account after he posted his bank details online Wednesday afternoon.
On Wednesday, the Jowo crooner, on his Instagram page , “jokingly” solicited help from friends who have ever benefited from him in the past to repay the favour by sending him N1 million each.
“We rise by lifting others abi, me I do dey rise with lifting others for the past 100 years, so I wan know who my friends be, so all my friends one one million naira, and if you wan count us shebi them say we be 30BG, if you no send your own you out of here nigga on God,” he challenged his friends.
He then proceeded to post his account details online.
The challenge sparked torrents of donations from friends and fans, some of whom have been posting evidence of their contribution online.
“Omo 7 m in 10 minutes keep goin!! I love y’all! AIM NAH 100m I wan clear my rolls Royce from port abeg,” Davido announced on Twitter but urged donors to keep it up as he is targeting to raise N100 million in charity.
The donations have marked up to over N26 million in less than a hour, the 30 Billion Gang Supremo said shortly afterwards.
Fellow celebrities such as Zlatan, Nengi, E-Money, Mr Eazi and more have paid their dues.
