Volleyball: Kwara United record third volleyball win

Kwara United volleyball male team record their third win of the ongoing second phase of the National Volleyball Division One League.
In the match played at the package B of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, Kwara United beat their counterparts ABM of Katsina 3-0.
They beat Katsina in three sets of the game (25-22, 25-14 and 30-28).
Speaking after the match, the coach of Kwara United, Adewale Badamosi, said his team fought well to win the third game.
“Our target is to get promotion to the premier league, we have played three games now, and we won all three. We are playing Oluyole Spikers of Oyo in our next game, which is going to end with a win, hopefully,” he said.
The coach urged the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) to look for sponsors that would support the Division One League.
”The organisation of the competition is alright, but the Federation needs to get more sponsors that will support the championship so that they can increase the prize money,” he explained.
The coach of ABM of Katsina, Tajuddeen Abbas, said his players lost the game due to fatigue.
“My team was facing a lot of pressure. We didn’t have a complete team which brought about a walkover in the beginning of the tournament. The remaining players joined them to complete the team today. We are working hard in our remaining game so that we will not be in the relegation zone,” he said.
Ten teams are participating in the league.
They are Kada Kings of Kaduna, Wikki Spikers of Bauchi, Kwara United, ABM of Kastina, Oluyole Spikers of Oyo, Spartans VC Spikers of Yola, Caliphate Spikers of Sokoto and Equity Spikers of Kebbi are the men’s teams while the only two female teams are Kwara United and Zamfara Babes.
The second phase of the National Volleyball Division One League, which started on November 20, will end on November 28.
