2023: Voter registration hits 4.2 million, says INEC
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says fresh registration in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) has hit 4,297,494.
INEC disclosed this in its weekly update released on Monday in Abuja.
The commission added that as of 7:00 a.m. on Monday, some 1,856,771 persons had completed their online and in-person registration.
According to statistics provided by INEC, 1,856,771 persons who completed their registration included 941,098 males, 915,673 females.
It also revealed that 741,183 persons completed their registration online, while 1,115,588 completed it through physical registration.
