Reps Dennis Idahosa urges Nigerians to stone non-performing politicians

Dennis Idahosa has suggested that non-performing politicians should be stoned when they fail to deliver on their campaign promises to the people.
Mr Idahosa (Ovia federal constituency), who is the chairman House of Representatives Committee on Legislative Complaince, said, “It is not about winning elections but fulfilling your campaign promises.”
Distributing motorcycles to 160 women and youths as empowerment in Ovia South West LGA, Edo, on Saturday, the lawmaker said, “By the time we are done, whoever that will come on must perform or they will be stoned.”
Responding, a member-elect of the State House of Assembly, Sunday Aghedo, said “There have been others before him, but they failed to do what Idahosa is doing now. He has set a standard that those coming after him will strive hard to achieve.”
According to Mr Aghedo, “What he is doing today is unprecedented in the history of Ovia federal constituency.”
On his part, the State Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lawrence Okah, urged the beneficiaries to effectively maintain the motorcycles, stating that “these motorcycles will enable you all to work and take care of your families.”
