AFCON: Salah scores as Egypt pip Guinea-Bissau

Egypt on Saturday defeated Guinea-Bissau 1-0 in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The Pharaohs bounced back from their first defeat to Nigeria, narrowly beating Guinea-Bissau in their second ground stage game.
Guinea-Bissau who had one point from a draw against Sudan held Egypt tight, curtailing the Pharaohs through the first half.
Both teams went into the first half break with no goal. But Liverpool hit man, Mo Salah, saved the Egyptians, scoring the only goal in the game in the 69th minute.
Egypt dominated 61 per cent of ball possession and had 4 shots on target, while Guinea-Bissau had 3 shots on target with 39 ball possession.
Egypt will face Sudan who have one point and are also looking forward to win to qualify for the round of 16 in the last group stage game.
With Saturday’s win, Egypt now have 3 points in two games, ranking second behind Nigeria who have six points in two games in Group D.
