Rihanna debuts on Forbes billionaire list

American singer, beauty and fashion mogul Rihanna, has finally made her debut on the Forbes billionaire list, with a net worth of $1.7 billion.
The annual report on billionaires by the American business magazine was released on Tuesday, featuring 34-year-old Rihanna. She is the first Barbadian billionaire, according to Forbes magazine.
The pop star who recorded her last album ‘Anti’ in 2016, was declared the world’s richest female musician in August 2021, with Fenty generating more than $550 million in revenue in 2020, which has now amassed to a net worth of $1.7 billion.
She achieved the feat with the combination of her music, Fenty Beauty cosmetics line and Savage X Fenty lingerie business.
The expectant mum and fashion icon ranks 1,729 on the Forbes list that also features celebrities like Kim Kardashian, with a net worth of $1.8 billion, ranking at 1,645.
Ye, previously known as Kanye West, with a net worth of $2 billion compared to last year’s $1.8 billion, was ranked 1,513. Rapper Jay-Z is at number 2,076 with a net worth of $1.3 billion; director Steven Spielberg ranks at 801 with a net worth of $3.7 billion; talk show Oprah Winfrey is at 1,196 with a net worth of $2.6 billion; and filmmaker Tyler Perry stays at number 2,578 with a net worth $1 billion.
Director of the ‘Lord of the Rings’ and ‘Hobbit’ trilogies, Peter Jackson, also debuted on the list this year with a net worth of $1.5 billion, ranking at 1,929, after the sale of his stake in his Weta digital film effects shop to Unity Software for $975 million, to emerge a billionaire, last November.
