2023: Lawyer tasks Nigerian youths against political thuggery

An Ilorin-based legal practitioner, Wasiu Olayinka, has advised Nigerian youths to be of good conduct and shun political thuggery during the 2023 general election.
Mr Olayinka, who gave the advice in Ilorin on Friday in an interview, said youths must avoid being used by politicians to constitute nuisance during elections.
According to him, “Youths must use their brain and stop being an instrument of destruction during elections. You also have your future to build and name to protect.
“Be a good ambassador of the country. Be an advocate of peace and not a destructive tool for anybody.
“They will come and try to lure you. Resist their evil offer and say No to violence,” he said.
He called on NGOs, religious leaders and other government agencies to organise sensitisation programmes for youths before the 2023 elections.
The lawyer also cautioned politicians against “do or die” politics during elections.
