Alleged Tinubu’s N100 million bribe tears Lagos4Lagos apart
The Lagos4Lagos Movement, a splinter group of the APC in Lagos, is rocking under crisis after the group’s leader, Olajide Adediran, kicked out Sunday Ajayi over an alleged N100 million bribe he collected from ex-Lagos Governor Bola Tinubu.
Mr Adediran, popularly called ‘Jandor’, eyeing the PDP governorship ticket in Lagos, accused Mr Ajayi (the group’s chair) of improprieties.
Mr Ajayi subsequently resigned from the group, denying allegations against him.
“My attention has been drawn to a malicious statement by Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor) claiming that I collected N100 million from Bola Tinubu,” stated Mr Ajayi. He insisted he had not interacted with Mr Tinubu in the last three years.
“For the records, I, Hon. Prince Sunday Ajayi withdrew from the activities of Lagos4Lagos because of the questionable character and draconian lifestyle of Jandor,” he further explained. “For someone to accuse me of collecting money from a man I have not spoken to or interacted with within the last three years shows his level of shallowness and confusion.”
The former chairman also alleged that 70 per cent of the members of Lagos4Lagos had left the group.
“For clarity, Jandor’s latest action is borne out of the frustration he has met in his fruitless quest to get a PDP ticket that was already placed out of his reach from the word go,” Mr Ajayi revealed. “It’s better for him to come out clean on how his arrogant lifestyle has led 70 per cent of the movement to leave Lagos4Lagos.”
Lagos4Lagos movement formed under the Lagos chapter of the APC had defected to PDP last year.
