Liverpool qualify for UCL final after Villareal’s second half collapse

Liverpool continue their push for an unprecedented quadruple as they sealed their place in this season’s UEFA Champions League final, courtesy of a 5-2 aggregate win over Villarreal.
Liverpool won 2-0 in the first leg at Anfield but they found themselves back on level peggings in the first half at El Ceramica, courtesy of goals from Boulaye Dia and Francis Coquelin.
Manager Klopp made a change at halftime, replacing Diogo Jota with Luiz Diaz but their first goal would come from an unlikely source in Fabinho. Diaz eventually scored to make it 2-2 on the night before Sadio Mane scored the winner with his fight goal in the last six matches.
Liverpool now progress to yet another cup final this season having already won the League Cup earlier in the year and booked a place at Wembley for the FA Cup final.
The Red are also in with a shout to win the Premier league, sitting one point behind Manchester City, who could also be their opponents in the UCL final if they go past Real Madrid in the second semifinal tomorrow at the Santiago Bernabeu.
