Adamawa Elections: APC suspends SGF Boss Mustapha
Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has been suspended by the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Gazette can report.
Mr Mustapha was suspended by the Adamawa (his home state) chapter of the APC, according to a suspension letter issued on Wednesday and seen by The Gazette.
The letter was signed by Muazu Kabiri (APC chair of the Gwadabawa Ward, Jimeta) and 22 other party executive members.
In the copy addressed to the party chairman in Adamawa, Mr Mustapha was accused of failing to make any meaningful contribution to the party during the elections.
“…We wish to bring to your notice that the entire party executive of the APC Gwadabawa Ward of Jimeta have unanimously reached a suspending (Boss Gida Mustapha) from partaking in all party activities,” said the suspension letter.
The party ward executive lamented Mr Mustapha had allegedly refused to assist the party at the ward level when his attention was needed as a ward member who cast his vote at unit 002.
They also complained that the SGF lost his polling unit to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in both the presidential and governorship election.
Sources close to Mr Mustapha said the APC chieftain had yet to receive a copy of the suspension letter.
Mr Mustapha could not be immediately reached for comments on the matter.
“I’m sure he would respond appropriately by the time he got a copy,” a source told The Gazette on Wednesday.
The Gazette reported how Mr Mustapha, a strong stalwart of the APC, lost his polling unit to Atiku Abubakar in the presidential election in Adamawa.
