Mr Danja said that troops also arrested a suspected terrorist informant, Falalu Yusuf, 45, believed to have collaborated with the terrorists.
Mr Yahaya said the arrest was carried out during a well-coordinated, intelligence-led operation.
The move follows President Bola Tinubu’s approval of four additional divisions across the country.
