Gov Mutfwang hailed for improved performance at Jos orthopaedic hospital

Kachollom Daju, permanent secretary, Federal Ministry of Health, has lauded Plateau Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his contributions toward the growth and improved performance of the National Orthopaedic Hospital in Jos.
Ms Daju, while inspecting the ongoing project at the hospital on Saturday, noted that the governor’s continuous support had played a vital role in strengthening the facility’s infrastructure by constructing some of its structures.
According to her, the governor’s commitment has helped create an enabling environment for the hospital to thrive and better serve patients across Plateau State and beyond.
She emphasised that collaborative efforts between the federal and state governments were essential for improving healthcare delivery.
Ms Daju added that specialised institutions, such as orthopaedic hospitals that cater to complex medical cases, need such collaborations.
She commended Icha Onche, the hospital’s medical director, and his team for their dedication and collective efforts in strengthening the institution.
Ms Daju said the leadership and teamwork displayed by the MD and his team had significantly improved service delivery, staff performance, and patient care at the hospital.
The National Orthopaedic Hospital, Jos, established in 2023, is dedicated to providing high-quality musculoskeletal care.
