Gov Okpebholo swears in new commissioner

Governor Monday Okpebholo, on Wednesday, swore in Andrew Momodu as a commissioner, urging him to protect the interests of the Edo people and support the administration’s development agenda.
Mr Okpebholo gave the charge in Benin after administering the oath of office to Momodu as a new member of the Edo executive council.
The governor congratulated the appointee and urged him to work with the administration to advance the SHINE Agenda and improve the well-being of Edo people.
The governor described Mr Momodu as hardworking and capable of making a meaningful contribution to good governance in the state.
Mr Okpebholo said, “You are lucky to be joining us at a time when we are almost done appointing commissioners. I know you are hardworking. I also know you can perform, which is why we chose you for this job. Go on and do your best to protect the interests of the Edo people.”
Mr Momodu thanked God and the governor for the opportunity to serve the people of Edo.
Mr Momodu said, “This opportunity is rare, and I will not take it for granted. I assure the governor that I will conduct myself well and do my best to deliver for the people of Edo.”
