INEC to give certificate of return to Gov Fintiri Wednesday
The Independent National Electoral Commission says it will present certificates of return to the Adamawa governor-elect and the deputy governor-elect on Wednesday by 3:00 p.m. at the commission’s headquarters, Maitama, Abuja.
INEC Tuesday declared Governor Ahmadu Umar Fintiri, the winner of the controversial governorship election.
The commission tweeted this on Wednesday on its verified Twitter handle.
INEC also said the federal lawmakers-elect in Saturday’s supplementary election in Adamawa would also receive their certificates of return at 11:00 a.m.
“Following the conclusion of supplementary elections nationwide and the declaration of winners, the Commission will present certificates of return to the Adamawa state governor and deputy governor-elect at 3:00 p.m. today (Wednesday).”
INEC advised the lawmakers-elect to contact its Adamawa office for their certificates of return.
