LaLiga: Barcelona thrash Valencia 5-0, go three points clear of Madrid

Barcelona went three points clear of rival Real Madrid on Sunday after thrashing Valencia 5-0 away from home.
Hansi Flick’s men ran riot against their host, putting 5 goals past them; with Fermin Lopez leading the charge with a goal and two assists.
Lamine Yamal also found the back of the net twice in the dominant display. Goals from Raphinha and Pedri completed the rout.
Barcelona took the lead in the 6th minute when Yamal latched onto Fermin’s pass into the box, the winger lifted his shot over Valencia’s goalkeeper from a tight angle.
Fermin doubled the the lead in the 22nd minute when Anthony Gordon found him with a excellent pass. The Spanish international buried home from 18 yards.
Fermin was again involved in the third when he got in behind the Valencia defence and set up Raphinha to tap in from the back post on 50 minutes.
Midfielder Pedri slotted home on 79 minutes for Barcelona’s fourth and Yamal swept in his second of the game from close range.
Barcelona are now on 12 points after four games, 3 more points than second-placed Real Madrid.
