Ondo constitutes 13-member committee for Fasoranti’s burial

The Ondo State Government has constituted a 13-member committee to ensure a befitting state burial for the late Afenifere leader, Reuben Fasoranti.
The elder statesman, who died on Tuesday, October 20 at 100, contributed immensely to the development of Ondo State, Yorubaland and Nigeria.
This is contained in a statement on Thursday in Akure by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan.
The statement reiterated that the late nonagenarian deserved to be celebrated, even in death, for his life of service, wisdom, and selfless leadership.
According to the statement, the burial committee is chaired by Kayode Ajulo, while Eniola Olushola serves as the secretary.
It noted, “Other members of the committee include Gbenga Fasua, Gbenga Atiba, Kosemani Kolawole, Bakkita Bello, Idowu Otetubi, and Erelu Modupe Martins.
“Also on the committee are Ebenezer Adeniyan, George Asonja, Muyiwa Ogunyemi, Stephen Abitogun, and Adetunji Gbenga.
“The committee is mandated to work closely with the Fasoranti family and the leadership of Afenifere to organise a dignified and befitting burial programme for the departed national icon.”
