The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria in Osun has expressed unwavering commitment to actualise its demands over unpaid benefits and stalled promotions.

This was noted in a statement by the chapter’s chairman, Idris Adeniran, on Thursday.

The union promised not to undermine its legitimate struggle by disseminating misleading reports about the ongoing strike among its members.

It stated that the strike remains indefinite and would not be deterred by attempts to weaken its collective unity.

“We reaffirm our commitment to securing justice and fairness for all JUSUN members particularly in emphasis to our demands. Promotions, welfare issues among other entitlements are what we are demanding which are reasonable and long overdue. We will continue our struggle until they are met by the Osun chief judge and that is sacrosanct to all members,” the union stated.

The chapter, after a three-day warning strike, had on September 19 directed its members to withdraw their services immediately over unpaid entitlements.

The strike is also aimed at compelling the Judicial Service Commission to consider the 2024 and 2025 promotions for its members, as well as to organise training for them.
