He said the recently launched 30-year-development plan of the state would be his working document to achieve overall development.
Senate president Ahmad Lawan says the National Assembly will pass the 2023 appropriation bill of N20.5 trillion before the end of December.
On Friday, President Muhammadu Buhari presented the 2023 Budget Proposals of N20.5 trillion to the joint session of the National Assembly in Abuja for consideration.
The president further said that universities must find alternative sources of funding rather than relying solely on government funds.
“We plan to finance the deficit mainly by new borrowings totalling N8.80 trillion, N206.18 billion from privatisation proceeds, and N1.77 billion drawdowns on bilateral.”
“Mr President, I consider the oil thieves the worst enemy of our country…We can reduce the deficit by stopping the theft.”
The joint session will begin by 10:00 a.m. at the temporary chamber of the House of Representatives.
Mr Musa said there was an urgent need to look into other areas beyond crude oil to generate revenue to fund the budget.
“I am hoping that the budget will be presented latest by first week of October,” he said.
