Mr Yakubu said many positive things came out of the 2023 elections despite several challenges.
“Campaigns in public by parties and candidates in the three states commenced on July 14, as provided in the timetable and schedule of activities for the governorship elections.”
Mr Yakubu said INEC considered it appropriate to interface with field officers and transport union to review logistic arrangements during the 2023 general poll.
The INEC chairman announced that the commission had received 216 case files related to the 2023 general elections.
It further stated that these same modalities would be used at the local, state and federal levels.
“We do not want to distract them from the onerous tasks facing them and the nation. Neither is it our wish to take the spotlight away from them in any way,” he said.
Mr Tella urged IPAC not to relent in its support to the commission in all its activities.
The CSOs said the polls was marred by poor organisation, logistical and operational failure, lack of transparency, disruption of voting, and violence.
The PDP had sought Mr Tinubu’s disqualification on grounds that his running mate was doubly nominated in violation of the Electoral Act.
APC has set up an 11-member committee to investigate allegations of anti-party activities against its members in the 2023 elections.
