Among those present at the meeting were Enugu’s chairman-elect, Augustine Akubue, alongside counterparts from Imo, Abia, Anambra, and Ebonyi.
Mr Obi said, “ECOWAS was quick to sanction Guinea-Bissau, but what does ECOWAS do when democracy is subverted,not by soldiers, but by technology?”
The November 8 governorship election aspirant recounted that he joined the LP in 2023 and contributed to mobilisation and fundraising.
Mr Umar said the meeting would be closely followed by an interactive session with major stakeholders and other party organs.
“An intense prayer for our dear country has become very necessary more than ever before, as our nationhood is in dire need of divine intervention to survive,” said Mr Obi.
The accusation by Mr Obi casts doubt on Mr Buhari’s promise to leave behind a legacy of free and fair election.
