Mr Akpabio said the sacrifices being made by the military would not be in vain.
Mr Musa said living and fallen heroes should be remembered by paying collective tribute to them for their everyday sacrifices.
He said that many had lost their lives while trying to secure the integrity of the land.
Mr Jibril said inclusion in the budget would make the legion perform better.
He said the country owed a debt of gratitude to its gallant troops, who have risen to the challenge of securing the country.
