The Directorate of Road Traffic Services in Abuja has warned vehicle owners against patronising touts for vehicle number plates.
He also said the owners of some of the impounded vehicles would face the mobile court and pay penalties in line with the provisions of the law.
Four hundred motorcycles were impounded and crushed in August, while 470 were destroyed in September.
Mr Bello said that with the e-platforms in place, the directorate would be able to have a comprehensive record of all transactions.
FCTA said it crushed more than 470 motorcycles impounded for operating illegally in Abuja.
The offenders were nabbed for parking in unauthorised areas, driving against traffic, and operating unregistered and unpainted taxis as well as illegal motor parks.
The motorcycles were impounded at strategic spots the riders use as their routes for operations.
