The director-general of the agency, Abdullahi Baba-Arah, disclosed this on Thursday during an update on the disaster response.
Hussaini Isah, head of the NEMA Minna Operations Office, said the aim was to share expertise, experiences, and valuable insights on preventing boat mishaps.
He said that the incident occurred on Tuesday at about 11.30 a.m.
He said search and rescue operations were carried out by NSEMA alongside commuters and some villagers.
The DG added that the inferno extended to farmlands through the contaminated stream water, burning some farmers and destroying rice fields
Mr Baba-Arah also said that 69 people were injured in the explosion, while 20 shops were burnt.
The incident occurred on Saturday on the Dikko-Maje road in the Gurara Local Government Area of Niger State.
He urged residents of the area to remain calm and cooperate with emergency responders.
