He said the meeting followed the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje as the APC’s national chairman on health grounds on Friday.
Mr Ganduje’s resignation has sent shockwaves through Nigeria’s political landscape.
Several members of the opposition recently announced their defections to the ruling APC.
A video circulated by AIT on Sunday showed party members in heated tension as the event ended abruptly.
Mr Onanuga said, “There was no uproar then that the PDP was imposing one-party on our country.”
Mr Ganduje said their defection confirmed that the FCT electorate was pleased with the APC and would vote en masse for it to re-elect President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
The state government instituted an eight-count charge bordering on bribery, misappropriation and diversion of public funds against Mr Ganduje and his wife, Umar.
The minister advised the youths to harness their skills to drive economic growth and engage in policy-making, governance and leadership.
The national chairman called on Kano residents to support Mr Tinubu’s administration.
Mr Jibrin said the gesture aims to empower APC members and facilitate grassroots mobilisation for party activities.
