The chairman of the committee, Abdulmumin Jibrin, said this after an oversight visit to FMBN on Monday in Abuja.
The chairman of the committee, Abdulmumin Jibrin, said this during the committee’s oversight function to the Ministry on Thursday in Abuja.
“When you look at the equity contribution of votes, it would be a ratio of about 70 to 30 per cent,” Mr Jibrin, a chieftain of the NNPP, explained.
Mr Jibrin is running to go back to the House of Representatives after losing his bid in 2019. The governor Abdullahi Ganduje led Kano APC is however said to be against his ambition.
Abdulmumin Jibrin belongs to a faction of the APC in Kano, led by ex-governor Ibrahim Shekarau, and in disagreement with Governor Abdulahi Ganduje.
Mr Jibrin has argued that southern candidates should be given exclusive rights to contest the presidential ticket in line with equity.
It is unclear if Mr Jibrin’s position as the Director-General of the Tinubu Support Management Council is the reason he is being summoned by the FHA’s disciplinary council.
