Abubakar Badaru says the defence ministry’s 2023 supplementary budget and part of its 2024 budget will be used to end insurgency and terrorism.
Mr Shettima also directed the management of NEMA to mobilise and provide adequate support to the victims.
“We, therefore, request that President Tinubu should introduce measures that will help him to identify performing and underperforming ministers.”
The police command in Jigawa has arrested a 50-year-old man suspected of belonging to a syndicate of motorcycle snatchers in the Auyo council area.
The council will be officially inaugurated by Mr Adamu on Thursday.
The meeting is sequel to the recommendations by the Council of State over the security challenges facing some parts of the country.
