He said the seasonal prediction should serve as an early warning tool for farmers.
He said the programme aims to achieve up to 500 million dollars in annual import savings.
Mr Kyari called on stakeholders to work together to unlock the full potential of the sector.
He said the mission of the ministry was to boost agricultural productivity.
The minister noted that Lagos State occupied a unique and strategic position in Nigeria’s agricultural value chain.
She said that the status of the country as an observer nation since 2024 would expire by November.
Mr Kyari noted that smallholder farmers constituted about 90 per cent of Nigeria’s farming population.
One thousand small-scale farmers in Katsina, including displaced persons and people with special needs, will receive free agricultural inputs from the federal government.
The state Commissioner for Agriculture, Muttaka Namadi, commended the federal government for the gesture.
Mr Kyari was appointed during the 49th Session of the IFAD Governing Council Meeting in Rome, Italy, on Tuesday.
