A dealer, Aminu Halilu, who manages a depot, said the scarcity was caused by disruptions in the supply chain.
He said the backlog, amounting to N48 billion, was inherited from previous administrations.
Mr Abiodun said the suspects were under investigation and would be prosecuted accordingly.
He said terrorists must be destroyed for the sake of peace.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested and detained Mr Musa, 43, in connection with the death.
The police said detectives were interrogating the man to unravel the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death.
“It is our considered opinion that the deaths of these DPO are stress-related.”
