The senator expressed satisfaction with the Supreme Court’s decision to remove the Julius Abure-led National Working Committee of the party.
The court allowed the appeal filed by Senator Ester Nenadi Usman and one other and held that it was meritorious.
Mr Abure is dogged by allegations, including administrative and financial malfeasance.
On Wednesday in Abuja, the court affirmed Mr Abure as the Labour Party’s chair.
“This act is undesirable and unequivocally intolerable and must be condemned by any decent and civilised mind,” said Mr Obi.
On Wednesday, the Labour Party suspended its national treasurer, Oluchi Opara, for six months for making false allegations against the party.
Mr Abure urged Nigerians to vote for a healthy candidate and not one that would spend his time seeking foreign hospitals for treatment.
