The police filed the charges after findings from an investigation showed that “there is need to test the case in court,” despite Mr Abbo’s repeated denials.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio reiterated that stakeholders should be practical in preparing for the next flood and not continue to be reactive.
Mr Abbo was declared the winner of the March 25 senatorial election after scoring 71,927 votes.
Justice Inyang Okoro in a unanimous judgement of a five-member panel of Justices, on Wednesday, dismissed the suit for lacking in merit.
