The state NDLEA boss further described the suspect as a “long-time drug baron and dealer, partially deaf.
He said that the suspect planted a foreign variety of cannabis sativa in his maize farm.
The collaboration was discussed when the police commissioner, Ali Kaigama, visited the NDLEA’s state command on Thursday.
The governor attributed drug use to the major cause of rising insecurity, ill health and poverty in Nigeria.
Mr Iro said the suspect, a traditional title holder, has been on the suspects’ list of the command for a long time.
