Mr Adelabu assured that the federal government would immediately pay a significant portion of the debt.
Many electricity consumers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) say they are willing to pay for an improved and steady power supply.
The power minister says the federal government’s intervention in the power sector has helped to stimulate the Siemens project further.
The minister called on Nigerians to continue to support government policies and initiatives.
Mr Adelabu said, “The target of M300 is to extend energy access to an additional 300 million Africans by 2030 out of the 600 million currently lacking access.’
Mr Tunji said, “We expect the ministry of finance to take action on this soon.’’
“In this context, corporate governance assumes an indispensable role,” he said.
Mr Adelabu said the project aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s vision of transitioning to clean energy and powering public institutions sustainably.
“His appointment appears to be a case of political patronage rather than merit, and his performance has validated our concerns,” said the coalition.
The minister also prayed for Nigeria’s peace, progress, and prosperity.
