NFVCB said Thursday it would clamp down on over-the-top streaming services violating Nigeria’s digital content law.
Mr Thomas said the figure was made available by the board’s Department of Film Censorship and Classification.
NFVCB says the board received and censored 340 movies produced by the Nigerian film industry in the fourth quarter of 2022.
Netflix said it has invested in over 200 local licensed titles, co-produced and commissioned original film content.
The board said unregistered actors, scriptwriters, cinematographers, producers and directors were currently operating in Nigeria’s creative space.

The board said it was important to censor musical videos before they are aired by television stations.
The FG said tobacco companies were inducing entertainers with money to glamorise smoking in the movies and entertainment sector.
The government spokesperson said social media and streaming services can be used “to cause chaos and undermine democratic processes.”
