The traditional ruler reportedly offered a bribe for the release of his workers suspected of being armed robbers.
Mr Hundeyin said that the three suspects were arrested on Saturday at about 6:30 a.m. by the police.
Rosemary Sunday also pleaded for employment opportunities for her children to reduce hardship on the family.
The police boss said that 1,050 commercial motorcycles were also seized for contravening traffic rules and regulations.
The police boss said he would be transparent in his operations, stressing that no officer would be covered up for wrongdoing.
The CP said the DPO would be removed pending a review of his case by other supervisory authorities.
According to Mr Hundeyin, the arrested persons are all males aged 16, 42 and 43.
He also appealed to the IGP to stop the demolition.
“Residents of Lagos should go about their normal business. They should enjoy their Christmas and New Year,” said the police commissioner.
