The chairman of CCD Election Analysis Centre, Africa, Adele Jinadu, stated this at a pre-election news conference on Friday in Akure.
Mr Jinadu commended INEC’s overall conduct but recommended improving crisis communication to boost voter confidence and curb disinformation.
“We are mindful that the fallout from the 2023 general elections remains fresh in the memories of voters and politicians as they engage with the process.”
At least 10.8 per cent of observed polling units recorded violence and/or fighting, most pronounced in the North-West and South-South.

CDD election observers report that voting was largely peaceful and without any incidents of violence.
