Mr Godwin is a staff member of the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development.
The defendants are being prosecuted by the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) on three-count charge.
Mr Adedipe told the court that the allegations made against his client were “entirely false and damaging to his reputation.”
At the resumed hearing in the case, counsel for Mr Yero, Adeola Adedipe SAN, apologised to the court for his client’s absence and accepted responsibility for it.
NDPC and Meta will, on November 3, adopt the terms of settlement in the dispute on the $32.8 million fine imposed against the latter by the regulatory agency.
The former minister has consistently maintained his innocence of the charge preferred against him by the anti-graft agency.
Justice Slyvanius Oriji, however, overruled the objection by Mr Ogbole for not meeting the required provisions of the law.
The duo pleaded not guilty to the charge.
“It was agreed administratively that junior lawyers be sent to court today to formally take a date as agreed by parties for June 27.’’
The three-member tribunal, headed by Justice Danladi Umar, ordered Mr Magaji’s suspension on Thursday in Abuja following misconduct allegations.
