The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) collected N1.172 trillion in revenues from Apapa port in 2023.
Mr Adeniyi said NCS would strengthen its anti-smuggling strategy in 2024 to improve its performance and boost Nigeria’s revenue profile.
The service promised to make findings of the probe public.
“So, we also need to fortify and enhance our presence to check those who may want to try smuggling through our waters,” he said.
Mr Bomodi commended the comptroller general of customs, Adewale Adeniyi, for his support to the command.
Customs says it recorded a surge in monthly revenue collection from N202 billion to N333.9 billion in the past four months.
