AfDB has reiterated the need for efficient and effective governance to enable Africa to achieve transformation.
A statement on the AFDB’s website late Thursday said the loan will enable Indorama to increase its fertiliser production and develop a port terminal for exports.
“These are the reasons I say Africa should put an end to natural resource-backed loans,” Mr Adesina said.
The AFDDB is providing $134 million to achieve this, according to its president, Akinwunmi Adesina.
According to the statement, the agreement is between the AfDB and Trade and Development Bank (TDB).
According to the report, Africa is set to remain the second-fastest-growing region after Asia.
“The bank has allocated $46.7 million to support agriculture value chain development, notably for rice, sesame, sorghum, and fish.”
