AGILE project coordinator, Ahmed Oricha, said on Sunday in Okene, skilled facilitators are critical to achieving the project’s education and empowerment objectives.
Ms Maigari reiterated the state government’s commitment to enhancing access to quality education at all levels.
Mr Oricha said the project is designed to improve girls’ education and support vulnerable families across Kogi.
The sensitisation was conducted by NGOs such as Women Rights Advancement And Protection, Baobab for Women’s Rights, and the State Sexual Assault Referral Centre
The Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment has completed 19 projects aimed at strengthening education for girls in Zamfara.
He emphasised that the initiative was part of the government’s efforts to promote education.
The state government is partnering with the UNFPA in gender-based violence (GBV), VVF management and the AGILE project.
AGILE has called for stronger collaboration among stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of its project in Kogi.
He said there was also the procurement and distribution of teaching materials for an improved learning atmosphere.
Mr Diop assured of the bank’s continued partnership with the state.
