The federal government says it has implemented viable programmes to tackle the housing deficit by providing affordable homes to meet modern real estate development benchmarks.
“The programme aims to build 50,000 housing units in phase one, with construction underway across 14 states,” he said.
The federal government says it will review the compensation rates on crops and economic trees for landowners affected by projects to ensure fairness and justice.
Mr Dangiwa said President Tinubu mandated the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development to transform the housing sector for the actualisation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
President Bola Tinubu’s government has partnered Shelter Afrique Development (ShafDB) to deliver 5000 housing units to provide housing for Nigerians.
He said the measure was imperative to meet Nigerians’ housing needs and unleash the sector’s potential as an enabler of economic growth.

The operatives of the State Security Service in Katsina have recovered 2,000 bags of rice out of the 20 trucks donated to the state by the federal government.
