Ahmed Idris, chief press secretary to the governor, made this known in a statement issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.
Islamic group Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa’iqamatus Sunnah had appealed to the governor to consider one of the deceased’s sons for the position slated for their father.
